Local artist, Karin Vollkommer, began her career in the 1970’s painting on slate, then painting scenes on refrigerator magnets, raised her family, and found her niche and style by the winter of 1990.  Karin creates her  original paintings of local historic buildings or interests in her trademark style, enriched with the charm of the Victorian era, then produces the prints sold at Kaleidoscope Gifts.  Much research goes into each painting.  Karin relies heavily on local libraries and museums and studies old news articles and other historic data.

Karin has painted commissions for the Saratoga County Historical Society, numerous local municipalities and the Wilton Rotary.  We carry most of her works in print, matted prints and framed pieces.

Local photographer, Sandra Ganzevoort’s work is a unique combination of strikingly beautiful wildlife and nature subjects set in dramatically colorful backgrounds.  She photographs a variety of nature’s subjects: from hummingbirds, butterflies, flowers, waterfowl, garden bugs, to moose, wolves, and lighthouses and covered bridges, within the U.S. and Ontario, Canada.

Sandra has shown her art in local galleries and group showings throughout New York State.
